The Christus Victor Quilters, a part of Social Ministry, meets on Mondays from 1:00-3:00 pm.  We only take the months of January and August off.  We make tied quilts with donated fabric, sheets, batting, and yarn.  No sewing skills are necessary and there is a job for everyone!!

The group has been meeting since 1972 and has completed over 1,400 quilts.  These are delivered to Lutheran World Relief to send to third-world countries.  There, they bring warmth on a cold night, shelter from the sun, become a bed, a room divider, a pack

to carry belongings, and, at times, even a home.  The total number of quilts sent around the world by Lutheran World Relief is 465,165.

Our quilts are displayed in the church on a Sunday in late September for a special blessing from our congregation before they are sent on to Lutheran World Relief.  You don’t want to miss this display!
